The Marine Institute (MI) have been designated as the National Correspondent Agency for the DCF on behalf of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, and has carried out this function since 2002. The Marine Institute and Board Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) are responsible for the coordination and collection of scientific and economic data to meet Ireland’s obligations under the EU Data Collection Framework.
